With intensive New York training under her belt – alongside top editorial stylists Danilo, Kevin Mancuso and Oribe – Melanie’s independent work has been featured in countless major fashion and music magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Rolling Stone, GQ, Esquire, Allure, People, Billboard, Cosmopolitan and US Weekly. Traveling between New York and Nashville since 1994, Melanie has gained notoriety not only for her forward reaching editorial work, but also for rocket-launching the early images of many progressive bands, including rock stars 3 Doors Down and the Dixie Chicks. In 2001, Melanie Shelley was featured in Vogue Magazine as one of the top rising stars in the United States. Now, in 2011, Melanie is consistently a “first-call” hair and makeup artist for recording artists The Kings of Leon, Ke$ha, Jewel, 3 Doors Down, and actress Ashley Judd.
